"Stopped in for an early lunch yesterday and was superb. Lovely team on duty, delivering swift cheerful service. We had the fish tacos $16) and the charcuterie board $32). Food quality, serving size relative to roving was astonishing in a positive way. And, most surprising of all, the Brie on the board was ripe and oozy, something that is so rarely encountered!"

"Pricing review may not accurately reflect the meal cost, we spent a fair bit on drinks as well.Absolutely mouth watering.Had the stuffed chicken breast on a co-workers recommendation, and honestly would be happy eating that for the rest of my days.Absolutely gorgeous.Staff were super friendly as well.Overall one of the best food experiences I've had on a work trip."

"We were passing through Gladstone and only stayed one night. We weren't looking for fine dining. Just somewhere where we could have good food in pleasant surroundings at a reasonable price. We'd checked out The Reef Hotel in the afternoon and it looked like it could offer that. Unfortunately it was a little disappointing. The place is obviously popular as there were lots of people there. That made the initial ordering tedious - we queued for about 20 minutes while the single lady on the till seemed to be having all sorts of problems taking people's orders. We then waited another 40 minutes for 2 quite simple dishes - one curry and one grilled fish. When the food eventually arrived one order was wrong (though it was quickly fixed up) and the curry was more like a stew, very unappetising. Note to chef, if you don't know how to make a decent curry then don't bother cos no-one is expecting a curry in a country pub. The other meals we saw looked good and serving sizes in general were huge, so maybe we were just unlucky."
