Hutchesons City Grill - Glasgow

Great place to eat and drink. Lovely cocktail bar downstairs and fabulous restaurant upstairs. All staff are friendly and helpful. We had a romantic meal preceded by a few cocktails. Fantastic night

Have to say firstly, the building is simply beautiful internally as well as the exterior. On arrival you are met by a member of staff who will direct you to the correct restaurant. There are two restaurants, one just off the entrance and a further upstairs. There is of course the private dining room also. We have been fortunate enough to have dined in all three at various times. The menus are plentiful with something for everyone and more. The wine list is just superb with so much choice. You are never made to feel rushed. The only small thing that we have seen change and do not quite agree with is, you sometimes find it quite difficult to differentiate between customers and staff, waiting staff used to be dressed like waiting staff, for some reason they walk around in denim trousers etc, which we do dislike immensely and hence have reduced our visit for that reason. If dress code does not bother you, we certainly would recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic meal in a beautiful restaurant for my cousin late jubilee dinner. martina the waitress is a special mention. i scallops and fruit de la mer starters I was excellent. steak and lobster mains were really delicious. did not hurry and would visit ii again. big restaurant would highly recommend, friends and family!

I've visited this place for brunch. but never for Christmas. what a tasty bite! the ambiente, the service, the food and the efficiency were no longer reachable. After I had informed the personal that I had a cocktail in another facility, but simply could not remember the names, they immediately went away and googled the other operating cocktail list! Heh superb! the cocktail came back and was a joy. I had also mentioned that I like chicken liver parfait (and although it was not served at the weekend) they brought me out of a one that the chef was just finished, she was preparing for the week and if you were looking with a hauch from class to somewhere. they will not be disappointed by this place!
