I've been a couple times since the opening and first the food was excellent. this time it was pretty poor. the twill rings are cheap, frozen out of a package and the jambalya was like rice pudding with tiny pieces processed huh. the waiting staff were friendly, but the place is left off from the bad quality of eating. poboyz seems to cut corners and the quality suffers. I'm not back. read more.

"Amazing and varied homemade soups, scones and cakes, all on offer on a daily basis. Today I had Moroccan chicken soup with a treacle scone....strange mixture, I know, however, treacle scones are such a rarity these days and it was delicious. The cafe is now table service and staff are so friendly and engage with you when , first, they bring a bottle of water and glasses to your table. Love the sharing of tables, especially encouraged when it's busy.....which is most days over lunch period. When paying, consider a donation to allow a homeless person some nourishing food. Once visited, defy you not to revisit, it's so worth it."

"I've been in Beirut Star a few times and both the food and drink on each occasion has been sublime. The ingredients for both the food and drink are fresh, so the taste is excellent.
