What georgia likes about My Fine Deli:
What a fab find this place is, right on Glastonbury high street. Every member of staff that attended to us was friendly, efficient and welcoming even under pressure while having a pretty busy afternoon. The food was just excellent. All four of our party had something different and we each found our meals to be fresh, plentiful in portion and delicious. We must recommend their selection of hummus and tapenade all home... What Saskia S doesn't like about My Fine Deli:
Sadly a very average deli. The portions were big but much of it was tasteless, we had vegan breakfasts, very cheap watery tomatoes and cold beans etc, with no seasoning. The first time the plate came out it had halloumi cheese on it which fortunately I noticed before I ate it! "We were trying to get into the cafe opposite as it had tables in the sun, and it wasn’t immediately obvious where the entrance to the Almshouse is (10 yards down street). The outside seating doesn’t look as appealing as it’s neighbor but once inside it’s a different story. A really nice menu with an excellent selection of cakes and sandwiches and great coffee, served by friendly staff. The Almshouse itself is really pretty inside, with a bookshop, and spiral staircase taking you to more seating. Next time we’re in Axbridge we’ll be heading straight there!"
