The West Dover Inn - Glen Allen

We decided to visit this restaurant as we received a $15 coupon from the B&B we were staying for the weekend. Quaint dining room and an accompanying bar with high tables and stools. We both had the Bacon Corn Clam chowder which was creamy and delicious. I had the half roasted duck and my partner had the Shepards Pie. Both were excellent. The duck was perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and a moist inside. Even after a big meal we had to try dessert. We ordered apple pie. It came warm and was definitely home made. It was served with a small dish of vanilla ice cream and some whipped cream and a few strawberry slices on the side. Excellent meal and well worth the visit.
