After living in the UK which has a rich Caribbean community, I've been waiting for an authentic Caribbean restaurant in Melbourne.

Having spent a bit of time in the Caribbean - I returned and went in search of this place I heard about which opened up in my neighbourhood since I left

It's completely torn apart and is being rebuilt, maybe into another restaurant. There's a good Mexican place up the street towards the railway station.

My husband is West Indian and grew up entirely on Caribbean cooking so we had pretty high expectations of how the food should taste, and I have to say we weren'...

I haven't eaten much Caribbean food before and have never (not yet anyway), been to the Caribbean...but if the food over there is anything like Bickle's offerin...

"Really nice smoked and juicy meats. Seating is only outdoors so check the weather. When I went it was windy and raining. Not a great way to enjoy some good food. I just have to go back now. Customer service was top ... The lady there know how to look after customers. Parking: Industrial area so parking during the week can be hard with lots of trucks all around. Service: Dine in"

"The breakfast menu was limiting whilst the atmosphere was nice. However the food look as though was from a motel. not to mention the pile of literal diarrhoea on some of the wall and booth. the water and glass smelt of wet dog and tasted somehow worse. the venue also lacked conversation starters"

"We are locals, and generaly do not write reviews on our local restaurants, but the really poor experience at this restaurant compelled me to share my experience. All thought the servers were nice, they seemed really busy (at 6pm, weeknight) and we had to put up our hand multiple times to request anything. Food was below average , my Pad Thai was too sweet, my son's burger bread bun was 1 inch thick x 2 !! Overcharged on my bill for the Pad Thai twice, luckily I noticed it. Grungy decor as if it was all picked up from the roadside. Won't be going back ."

"Have been coming to Sumalee since it opened years ago and it’s still the most delicious Thai I’ve had. Service is wonderful and food is always so beautifully presented and consistently delish. Great for takeaway but definitely sit in if you can. A great place to catchup with family and friends!"
