"This place was a real gem! Large, comfortable, well-appointed room with a million dollar view over the harbour. Food was excellent, both at dinner and the included hot breakfast. James was so friendly and helpful, even took the time to prepare us a list of suggested stops and sights for our next travel day. We highly recommend a stay here!"

"First of all, we were so fortunate that Velma was working that day and that we were the only customers in the restaurant. It was worth the visit just for the opportunity to chat with Velma! She's a kick! We didn't want sandwiches or soup so we opted for the brunch...one small and one large. OMG! Two eggs, ham, fried bologna, homemade bread, fresh fruit, yogurt and some kind of Newfie sweet-baked-bread thing for under $10. That was the small! The larger one included terrific potatoes and a larger portion of yogurt. It's across the street from the Smallwood museum which was closed that day but we weren't too bummed out because Velma made it all worth it!"
