First disclaimer: we ate at the beer garden rather than the restaurant. I think you're really paying for the view and to be able to park so close to that view....

"I highly recommend this place out of many reasons, the drive up to the restaurant is amazing with stunning views over the Tegernsee plus the Freihaus is an authentic Bavarian restaurant and very beautiful. The food was very tasty and the server was able to...communicate in English, they had English menus available as well. I have been to the Freihaus many times for lunch and dinner and this time was the first time I took my wife and she was very impressed. Food and service was always exceptional. The roasted potatoes, the classic Bavarian dishes including the dessert were super delicious...we will be back for sure!"
