I stayed at this hotel for two nights in 2017 and had a pleasant experience. The hotel was nice, the breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable. The scenery surrounding the hotel was beautiful, with a great location not far from the campsite and lake. There was even a stream flowing directly behind the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay. What User doesn't like about Samuels:
The service at this restaurant was poor, the room was not up to par for $400 per night, and the owner was rude, telling us that it was our problem that she had a bad day. This was the worst experience I have ever had while traveling across Ontario. View all feedback.
This is a sweet little hotel near the Maitland River. The room was nice. The back garden is great. It serves a generous continental breakfast with good coffee. Check-out time is 11 a.m. You call 11:03 to ask when you will check out. Something like that has never happened to me. I felt very comfortable. I'm not coming back.

It was clean! Which I’m super picky about!! Super helpful staff, bottled water as needed provided. Great breakfast. A great little spot to stay.
