What Robert G likes about Matau:
The restaurant we planned to eat in was closed so looking for a plan B we discovered Matau. The welcome was courteous and friendly. The menu leans towards fish, some raw but that was OK. After we ordered we were offered an amuse bouche of gazpacho with tuna, it was fresh and delicious. Looks very pretty welcoming and we had had coffee here. We went for dinner ordered steak Salmon both were raw cold the vegetables at€6 were described as roasted cremated is a better description. My husband asked for another dish as he could not eat the raw steak the veal arrived looked very unappetising a tasteless very fatty peace of meat in gravy.
