"Great customer service. Fitted us in with good grace as we were without reservations on a busy night. The house cut chips are the best I’ve had anywhere… this is what chips are meant to be like. Please don’t change them. The tomato sauce used on chips, and the tomato sauce on the pizzas is crazy good. We loved our Mamaku pizza. This is relaxed dining done right. Lovely people, nice setting and high quality ingredients crafted into delicious food."

"Under The Red Veranda Cafe is simply ..... EPIC We had the Eggs Benedict and the Fish (Gurnard) both were AMAZINGGGGGG. We also took the Duck Liver Pate and a loaf of Foccasia bread home. Coffees were spot on too! This is Christchurch ' 's Best!!!!!"

"Lovely warm relaxed ambience. Green smoothie has spice heat and zing! So gooood! The risotto cake with unexpected side salad was delicious and the ginger nut crunch hit the sweet spot perfectly. It’s rustic, it’s confident it’s truely a slice of bohemian Lyttelton. Great views t top it off and a wood burning fire. Go!"

"This used to be one of my favourite Thai places but maybe has changed chefs as it’s not as good as it used to be. All of the curries are off limits for vegans. The fresh rice paper rolls were very small and lacked much filling (basically just lettuce and noodles no herbs or tofu). The garlic black pepper dish I got ok my last visit lacked flavour. Hopefully they go back to their previous deliciousness sometime soon"

"Lovely atmosphere, food is awesome and great coffee! This is my new regular go to Cafe every Sunday and when I'm in the city during the week. Linda is always warm and inviting and goes the extra mile. Amazing customer service!"
