My lamb souvlaki was so good. The pita was soft and warm with a good amount of meat. Fresh salad and generous with the sauces. I wore as much as I ate and thoroughly enjoyed it. View all feedback.

What S doesn't like about The Silk Road Food Post:
Ordered souvlaki and chips from here, the chips were good but the souvlaki wasn’t. The chicken was undercooked and pink and there was too much lettuce. Besides that the bread and sauces tasted good but i am severely disappointed by the chicken not being cooked properly View all feedback.

"Outrageously delicious. Imagine the best tasting Indian meal you’ve ever eaten, then know this is better. Last night in Christchurch tonight for a while and wanted a curry, I’m usually somewhat skeptical about curry in AU and NZ after living in ‘home of the balti’ in Birmingham, UK and It’s with utter luck I stumbled upon this absolute hidden gem. The only thing that surprised me about this place was the fact it wasn’t packed to the rafters with a waiting list to book. Every herb and spice perfectly placed and the flavour was to die for, and quite simply the best cheese and garlic naan I have ever eaten. The owner/front house is well mannered, prompt and very friendly. Myself and my partner left incredibly full! If I could score more than 5 I would. Highly recommend anyone who hasn’t tried this place. I’ll look forward to visiting again in feb next year!"

"What a suprise! I've been following The Fermentist for some time but had somehow never made it in. How glad am I that today was the day. First off- the outdoors area is on point. I love the planter boxes/benches combo and the garden is stunning. Such a great use to of space and made me feel like we were in a secluded oasis. The main restaurant area looked fun too- and I'd like to see what it was like when it's busy. Honestly, it was a hard day for me with big hospital trips for my son so it's saying a lot that we had such an enjoyable experience. The food was to die for.. we had the tasting platter which I would reccomend . Stuck to coffee but it was expertly made. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed their attentive but space giving style. Looking forward to returning again soon."
