"The restaurant is located in a beautiful old house. we sat in a cozy room with three other occupied tables. the personal was there when we needed something, but otherwise we stayed alone. the food was delicious and the portions were perfectly dimensioned to allow space for dessert. we will definitely be back! After we had seen the place, we wanted us to hire a babysitter overnight so we could stay in the night. we have already recommended some friends."

"I have eaten here several times to-go however today we decided to dine in. The cashier/server was good. He took the time to convert our online order to dine in however, the rice bowls that we had today had no taste at all. There was no flavor, egg, or onions in the bowls. The best thing we had was our shrimp tempura appetizer. Definitely not worth the cost today."

"These are truly the best donuts in America! We are apple fritter aficionados, and I?ve never had a better one anywhere! The raised donuts melt in your mouth! Must try maple bacon. "We came in 2 minutes AFTER they closed the dining room, completely oblivious to their closing. Rather than kick us out, which they should have, they were so freaking nice. Out of this world kindness, and the dining room and restroom were perfect. They care, and they make it obvious they care. Alexis even made a point to refill our drinks before we left. 5 stars is not enough."

"We stopped at Bright Penny Brewery for lunch after hiking at Haw River with our dog. They have beautiful outdoor seating and a covered tent area that is heated. The staff was very friendly and service was fast. Our server was also nice to the dog, brought him a water bowl and some leaks. We had pizza and crabs and the food was excellent. Good beer and wine too. A great dog friendly place to eat and drink, which is directly from I-40/I-85, we will definitely return."
