"Went on an empty Sunday. Hardly anyone there. Asked if we could sit by the window and were told okay. Then 5 minutes later we were told to move to a smaller table just in case they had a walk in. There were plenty of larger empty tables. It was awkward and strange. So we decided to take our business somewhere else. Can 't recommend."

"We went here for a nice lunch but the real highlight is dessert. Cheesecake to be specific. I had the baked apple cheesecake, which really doesn’t have apple in it....but a local berry. Very tasty."

"Everyone raves about Ches' Fish Chips in St. John's but if you've ever had Ches' (like we did) and then have an opporutnity to be in Grand Bank, this is the place. The fish was much better less batter and perfectly cooked, light...and flaky. They have a fisherman's platter that has cod, scallops, cod tongues, and shrimp (and of course you have to have fries with dressing and gravy on the side Cod tongues are the very delicate and like scallops can be overcooked easily and it makes them a chewy mess. These were perefct! Melt in your mouth so tender and light. I was thrilled as thrilled as your waist can be aftre a feed of deep fry like we had! And it all cost just over tip, drinks, taxes, and big meals for two."
