Four of us went out for dinner. The steak sandwich was tough, but the clubhouses were tasty. The Chinese food was even better. The service was excellent and friendly. The restaurant was not crowded and the prices were cheap. The atmosphere was beautiful, with a pub-style feel. View all feedback.
What Timothy Schoen doesn't like about JP Outpost:
We visited JP Outpost for the first time last week for a retirement party. The party took over 80% of the establishment and really pushed the staff to work hard to manage a sizeable group all ordering different drinks and food all in a short period of time. We ordered early and got our food early. Some tables took awhile to get their food, but the kitchen must have been slammed. Overall the food was hot and tasty. Th... View all feedback.
I ate here this evening and accidently ordered the wrong item; chop suey instead of chow mein which is what I wanted. The chop suey was okay, but the beef had a sour/off taste and I explained all of this to the server. Server spoke to the manager and the manager would not address my concern; told the server that nobody else had complained about the taste of the beef. I told the server that this was rude of the manager, paid my bill, left the server a tip because she did her job. I also told the server that I did enjoy the pot stickers but would not be back because of the manager's poor attitude. Server stated that she did not understand why the manager would not speak to me because people order wrong items all the time.
Visited there last Sunday evening no complaints about the food. Everything came out hot and fast. They were able to accommodate my toddler by cooking a grill cheese.

The portions, although not that important to me, were quite large. Many people ended up taking leftovers home with them. Hats off to the owner for hosting the event without charging the person retiring. Thanks to the staff for making the experience a good one.
I have been working in the area for a couple weeks, after the first week I had to change hotels and ended up at the Redwood in Clairmont closer to one of our new shops. I kept hearing about this place behind the Shell station right next to out hotel, a lot of my crew were walking over after work and were bragging about the amazing food. Wow you gotta take the time to find this place, everything here is amazing, western ( burgers, steaks, pasta, and the chinese is off the hook. I ate here three nights in a row, and I would recomend this place to anyone. Takes a little effort to find, lots of parking, amazing service, lots of seating, very clean, reasonable prices, and huge servings. I will be eating here again when we are back in the Grande Prairie area. Note: they close the doors at 8 pm......the one night I walked in at 755 pm, they were happy to see me again, not the "we are about to close" **** that other places pull when they want to close and go home.
I eat here periodically and it is usually pretty good food and mediocre service; someday are definitely better than others. Some form of a uniform would be nice to see as one of the girls the one day had on see through pants. Definitely not professional. Overall, the food is pretty good. The buffet could last a little longer or at least not have the staff eating from it until it's finished as the food runs out before the buffet actually closes. Definitely love the ginger chicken or lemon chicken. The establishment itself is also quite new and bathrooms are really nice. Overall, it's a pretty good place to go.
