What Kenalee M doesn't like about Dead Bear Brewing Co:
I only gave this restaurant a 3-star rating because the food was just okay, not great. The service definitely needs improvement - not very friendly and lacking attentiveness. View all feedback.
Had to get in as it was one of the times I drove during the business hours thru. I have found a growler from her maple bacon porter, which I wanted to try for years! will definitely be back when I try the next time the opposite to maybe a flight of her beer. very friendly personal owners and I hope only the best for them and the business grows!
What a let down. they could do so much more with there menu. service and food both need major work! they have basically no sides. what they do have cost 2-3 dollar upcharge unless you like a plate of brown Lettice or coleslaw. I'm just saying i don't expect them to make it much longer unless they recognize these major issues. on my next trip up i will be choosing a different business to support i always try and support small and local) but hope the owners improve some. otherwise its not worth giving another try. i never leave reviews but i was very disappointed in how much we paid for mediocre everything.
The fries and fried mushrooms were great, and our server was also great. The entrees, however, were not good. Chicken tenders weren’t fried enough (the inside of the batter wasn’t fully cooked), the burger and chicken smelled and tasted like dirty grill (and the burger had a build-up of blackened grease from the grill), and the Thai salad was basically a huge plate of iceberg lettuce (not romaine like the menu stated with chicken and oranges and 1/2 cup of noodles. Basically 3 out of 4 meals weren’t eaten. Won’t be coming back.
I'd like to give 2.5 but I'll round up rather down.Beer wasn't very good. I could not taste any peanut butter in the peanut butter porter. Might as well drive nearby to Rolling Oak and have theirs instead.Service was not great. I felt I was inconveniencing the server by being there. Maybe she was having a bad day maybe she feels over wishes I don't know but it would have been nice to be asked if I wanted water when my beer was gone before the food came. I would have asked for it but after dropping off the food she only came back to give me the tab when I was done. No point in being more of an inconvenience.Food was okay. Bang bang shrimp was good. Onion rings a fries were delicious. If you enjoy straight up iceberg lettuce you will like the side salad but I personally did not. Asked for medium burgers and they were well done. If you like your burgers dry, this may be the place for you.
Good food and a nice looking place. The service is fast and friendly. The Diablo burger is tasty. Prices are one par with the other places around.
