I went to eat here with a friend on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. We both had the gyro meal, which was very good. The food is made fresh as you order it. The place was extremely busy, so many others love Sammies food too. There aren't too many places like this around anymore, so hurry over and enjoy their delicious fresh food. read more.

In beautiful weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, And into the accessible rooms also come customers with wheelchairs or physiological disabilities.

What User doesn't like about Sammies Grayslake:
This place needs a good scrub. The owner is very loud and boisterous and kind of goofy. We sat in the side room, which reeked of cigarette smoke, which is actually sharing a wall with a smoke shop. read more.

In town for work and place is walking distance so stopped in got a Sammie burger w/cheese. First bite all I could hear was Samuel L Jackson in my head…..if you...

"Fred's Diner is a nice establishment to grab a bite at 225 Center St, Grayslake, IL 60030. Be aware that it's first come, first serve. There are a few booths in the front with a bar countertop as well as two seater booths along the wall. We ordered the vegetable omelette and the ham cheese omelette. To add cheese is 50 cents more and to add meat is a $1.00 more. You can have either three pancakes or two pieces of toast with your omelettes. Feel free to have cottage cheese or hash browns too. The pancakes were soooo fluffy. Note, they don't have ice cream to enjoy with your pancakes."

"We drove up from about 3 hours away to visit a veterinarian specialist and they pointed us to this place to kill some time. The coffee was great and the variety of options they had for snacks astounded me. I wish we had a bit more time so we could havetried some of their food off of the menu, everything looked great. We sat inside and enjoyed looking at all of the wall artwhile we chatted and enjoyed our coffee and snacks. Parking was easy enough downtown. There were spots on the next block over. I imagine it would get more difficult during a busier time. We were right on time getting back to the vet and we're glad tohave stopped by the shop."
