I was in the highland lodge for my first trip to Vermont and was blown away by the beautiful outsight and the friendly people. a few highlights of our stay: the walk to the lake (especially to the sunset), the incredible breakfast on a beautiful veranda, the campfire under the stunning starry sky and the short walk to see some great mountain views. chad and elsa are also the best hosts! wonderful an experience! read more.

What Donna from me doesn't like about Highland Lodge:
The reason for staying at a b&b is for the special touches. We only saw one of the owners at check in. Don't even know what the other one looks like. The only person that talked to us was the lady that served our food Saturday night. Barely any staff around. Rooms don't have own thermostats or ac. Bedding looks old and has stains.
