"This was my first visit and a special lunch for my god daughter on her 21st. Food was great, service also top notch. My only slight critique was space, the table sufficient but a little small for five. Overall a great place, reasonably priced and in a great location."

"Good selection of real ales, very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. superb hot roast pork and apple sauce on a roasted ciabatta as a light bite to go with a pint of nutty black. the pub below is an old stylie school space with old school desks and an open fire, live music events and health home bar. in the upper floor there is a conservatory restaurant with views of the river dee and chester beyond. the main menu saw test will be back! large small water hole at the end of a river bank:"

"Glad to have found this stunning old Inn on the last day of our short Chester stay. From the moment we walked in on the evening of 28.7.23 we were amazed by the interior and ambience in the pub. Loads of rooms to be seated in. We sat near the bar by the open sash windows and revelled in the decor. They also brew their own beer in the basement and very it was too. Such a shame this visit was on our last night in Chester as my wife and i would have visited a few more times. Great pub!"

"I think I have to say that this was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had! I had the one with courgette and although it was quite soft- the crust is thin and it’s quite a wet pizza- the cheese was the best- just the right amount and a fab texture to it, and great toppings (and I swapped black olives for mushroom). The menu isn’t that big but if you like pizza and are visiting Chester then it’s a must visit! The restaurants decor is modern and fresh too."
