Awesome huge sandwiches on homemade bread! A half is about all I can eat. I've heard most everything else they serve is good too but I can't pass up the Reuben. What User doesn't like about Trufflehunter:
Their sandwiches are amazing, perfectly inexpensive and can easily feed 4 people. I wish I could give them a separate 5 stars. I gave 3 stars because everything else is very much over boiled, tasteless and about price, especially their salads, and the waiting time even to go to orders is ridiculous. Great for Gresham, good for Portland. Portion sizes are incredibly generous. Half a sandwich is hard to finish. The cake selection is quite incredible. Expect to wait. Unfortunately, waiting is not absolutely worthwhile. Their portions are huge, but in terms of taste it is just okay. Your little entrance is like a purgatory. I was here a few times and it was never less than 15 minutes before the staff acknowledged you. Then they will send you back to the hall after your meal to pay.

The food is truly incredible—it's enough to bring tears to your eyes. The bread is delicious, and everything is made from fresh ingredients. The prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting. The waitstaff are enjoyable and attentive. You definitely won't leave feeling hungry!

This restaurant offers fantastic home-cooked meals. The portions are generous, and everything we've tasted so far has been incredibly delicious. I highly recommend giving it a try for yourself!

Their sandwiches are fantastic—affordable and large enough to feed four people! I wish I could give them a separate five stars just for that. However, I rated the place three stars overall because everything else I've tried is overcooked, lacks flavor, and is overpriced, particularly the salads. The waiting time just to place an order is also pretty frustrating. So if you’re looking for an excellent sandwich, this is the place to go. Or maybe I should recommend Heidi?
