A warm welcome to the host, which offers a unique menu every day, with fresh and locally produced product, cooked with skill and care. The 'Tartiflette' was on the map when we booked, and we presented ourselves a home cooked variant of classic pizza like dish. We were offered five different tasty and original variants to share among us, baked to perfection with exactly the right level of crumbness and thickening of the dough. Diner was accompanied with the right kind of wine (the host is a connoisseur and knows his stuff), and many good humble sniper was it a wonderful evening.
There after a walk nearby. The food was really excellent, you can really imagine that the cook took time to think about it. It is simple and beautiful at the same time. You can taste their salad, the burger and of course the special Tiramisu. The owner (the cook) is a nice guy and comes directly feedback. A really nice stop for a real price.
Try the fondue aux cèpes, as well as every day, and you will understand why the quality/price ratio of this place cannot be beaten. If you add the kindness of the owners (cook and waiters), the attention to details, the cosiness and location of the restaurant, you will get one of the best dining experience you can experience.
Was super impressed by this small inconceivable place where we have appeared during a hike through the mountains in June 2014 in Gresse-en-Vercors: It is a small chambre-d'hotes/bed-and-breakfast type place, running from a young couple, from optics, but they also open for lunch and dinner. We were thirsty and hungry after a morning of hiking, when we stopped for lunch in June 2014, they have an excellent selection of local beers and a great, hearty lunch menu. My wife enjoyed the salad with warm goat cheese, and I might have had the best burger I've ever eaten in France: with local blue cheese and bacon, delicious! We were so impressed with lunch that we came to dinner a few nights later, and it was just as delicious. The waitress/manager was really nice, and the place was quite full for dinner, so obviously the secret is out! Really good value for money, even for France, and the view of the mountains (equipped directly on the Grand Veymont) in the outdoor seating area can simply not beat! If you come to Gresse-en-Vercors, do yourself a favor and stop here for lunch.
