"I had the loaded fries. It was really a big meal (definitely +1) but it was quite gross. The pulled pork wasn't very good and was far out of proportion to the fries. It was also so wet that there was a soup at the bottom, which the fries absorbed making it a messy, soggy meal that I couldn't finish. The atmosphere was nice though, they just need to rework the way they serve this dish. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: NZ$20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

"Popped into this cafe while driving on State highway 6 to try the espresso and caramel slice which are the best on town according to a guide book. Sampled both and we're worth it. The setting was unique and I was surprised to find limited edition prints for sale displayed on the walls. Some lovely pieces and purchased one to bring hang up at home."

"Thank you for excellent service and fabulous food. We arrived at 9pm on a Sunday evening, having travelled up from the glaciers, and were welcomed as if we had booked a week before.<br/ <br/ Our waitress (Ms Skeats? was friendly and very helpful with menu choices as well as interesting local information. Our chef, Ronnie I think, came to check that we had enjoyed our meals and genuinely was interested in the answer! He took the time to chat about the west coast, even though we were the last customers on a wet west coast night. Clearly a happy staff and a dedicated chef. <br/ <br/ We ate the flatbread entree yum and had the whitebait pattie, the pork with kumara and ginger, and the roast of the day, all generous and beautifully cooked and presented. <br/ <br/ Unfortunately, no room for dessert after the generous servings. Perhaps we'll start with dessert next time."

"Lovely Restaurant a nice atmosphere. Toilets were clean the staff were friendly although the waitress did not know what veges were with a meal when we asked (but soon found out) We did not have to wait very long for our meals, which were cooked to perfection and looked great on the plate, good size servings too. Thanks heaps, we will be a repeat customer."
