We visited at the end of September and getting on for the end of the season. All the restaurants we visited were quiet. But we went back to Nel Castagneto because it's excellent. I went early for a little cooking course/lesson which was the highlight of my hol. What Claireholmes66 doesn't like about Trattoria Nel Castagneto:
A local restaurant with no menus you eat what they have cooked that day. That was fine until we got to the pork. overcooked, rock hard and tasteless. Not sure what it was supposed to be and wish we hadn't bothered as it kind of spoilt the experience. It was very cheap though, so I suppose that makes up for it.
