Great place to usually grab a pint, but went here on a Thursday evening where there were three big groups with children. The staff apologised because 2/3 groups were not planned, but it was still quite chaotic. As a result, we could not order foods, which was a bummer. I know the staff did the best they could, but children ran everywhere and ran into me out of the bathroom. The place has no insulated ceilings, so all... View all feedback.
What Richard Oldfield doesn't like about Howlers Growlers:
It's ok, the menu is small, the food is decent bar food. Being an IPA drinker the beer menu lacked anything I would drink the time we went. In defense, the beers do rotate.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
We went here before our show and left so full. We got the Mexican crema hush puppies and the classic bar burger (add bacon). I’d recommend both of them. Good draft choices. Good place to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood.Food: 5/5
Food is fine, pub fare with a few twists. Focused on hot sandwiches. Plenty of add-ons available for the sandwiches…fried egg on the burgers is nice option. Beer selection is legit. 5* for the tap list, because let’s face it, that’s why you’re gonna go there. The space gets loud once it starts to get full, so be forewarned.Food: 4/5
We tried this place out while in Grosse Pointe for the day. They had an amazing beer selection and the food was great. Servers were friendly.Food: 5/5
Stopped by for the live entertainment which was very good.No extra cover and the food was good. I had the Impossible Burger and it was good. A good burger bar that also serves brunch. Nice neighborhood, good service, a outside dining area.Check it out and I think you will agree. Worth a return trip for sure!
The food was excellent but the beer selection seemed pretty limited despite the fact that they have 40 taps. Too many places are moving towards more and more and more sours and IPAs and drifting away from the basics like wheats and pilsners and lagers.
