The restaurant is a little pricey, but the portion sizes are generous and the Russian waitress provided excellent service. The historic building had a unique vibe with dollar bills adorning the walls. We ordered the Philly steak sandwich with fries, and despite sharing it, we were unable to finish the meal as the portion was so large. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Iron Door Saloon:
The bar food at Iron Door Saloon, the oldest saloon in California dating back to 1852, was decent. Avoid the cheese sticks due to their strange non-cheese consistency. However, the pretzel and cheese were a homerun. The mozzarella sticks were not good. Overall, it was a nice impromptu dinner with family. Items like the chicken tsar and fish were also enjoyable. This place is so cool! drove 50 minutes to see this place. the history of the iron door is amazing. one could hear almost the talks of the miners from the 1850s. the choice of beer was ok. they had 2 ipa to choose. bartender was not very friendly and just went about his business. it was worth the trip!
Highly recommend a visit to the Iron Door Saloon. Special atmosphere, history teeming from the walls and really friendly attentive staff. And the burgers are top notch too.
Came across this by accident and it looked so awesome we went in. Friendly staff and great burgers with good local ale. Loved it.
An amazing staff and ice cold beer, we had such a good time when we stopped by. Everyone was so friendly and what a great atmosphere.
Definitely worth a try! We walked in to a warm welcome from the bar staff. The food was great burgers were some of the best we have had in a while. The fries were seasoned to perfection.
