We went on our last night at this excellent hotel. It was a Sunday which may not be the best night to judge, but, the ambiance is very good, the service was attentive if a little slow and we were impressed by the food although my fish was just a tad dry. You should not fear the prices they are a slight mark up on local restaurants but then you have excellent service and an historic setting. Glad we went. read more.

From the moment we arrived till when we left the service was poor. They seemed to be short staffed but never bothered to apologise or mention that, just left us waiting. The food was good not special, but good (2 grilled dourado, 1 bacalhau à Brás and a grilled salmon how hard is that? .
