I can't say how nice it was to find a great diner like this while in townGreat burger on special, Wi-Fi and nice people.
I had heard about Katie's through word of mouth and decided to check out some Yelp reviews before I went.

"This may surprise you to read, but Missy and I go way back. Once upon a time we were rivals in the great art of pastry making... She decided to specialize in doughnuts, bearclaws, and other morning treats. I on the other hand attempted to create an all new goat meat based pastry...Needless to say I decided to step away from the game and Missy went on to open up a restaurant that makes some fine sweet treats. Here 's the thing that is on all of your minds, Is it worth the trip? Well, the answer 7 times out of 8 is...Yes, yes it is. Let me run you down my order. One chocolate Long John One coffee One Chocolate Long John Did I order two Long Johns? No, I order it one and one style, like free throws in basketball. (Unless you are in the double bonus already) Okay now to the actual taste and greatness of the doughnuts themselves. The first Long John was the perfect amount of sweet and the chocolate glaze was everything I needed to soothe my soul bright and early in the morning. The coffee was well roasted and hot! The second Long John was so soft and almost melted in my mouth. It was tear-able, squishable, and all in all bite-able. Both single Long Johns were a true shining light and a reminder that everyone has a special gift...Some people 's gift is doughnut based and wow are they lucky! My wife says she might be a Bearclaw gal now"

"This place is hit or Miss for me, some days the food is amazing and cooked perfect and tasty, others it was burned on the outside and boiled in the middle, I would say definitely give it a chance and hope that you get luck, it is what keeps me back. Pretty sure, the bread that the chicken fried steak with the hand and it is not out of a bag if you are lucky, it is probably the best chicken roast that I had."

"Used door dash and we ordered 2 meals and we only received 1!! As a truck driver, we do not get good meals alot so we were excited about getting a good meal. We received a side salad instead of my meal. Unbelievable frustrating."
