Parkhotel Hachenburg

Great hotel with a beautiful spa area. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. We felt comfortable and like to come back:

Nice and new hotel. Unfortunately, only a small spa bath is included in the room with hot tub. Overall, I found the price for the room too high. On the balcony there were already two marble plates damaged, in the shower there was only a simple, small shower head, as I would have expected for the price as a whole. However, the room was really large and the bed was comfortable. The food was delicious, but the service was quite overwhelmed, the wine first ordered, only came to the main course after further demand. The dessert was not what was added after the menu. On our confused demand, the waitress said we had made a mistake. Breakfast was very tasty and rich. Rooms: The junior suite with hot tub was large, nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. However, the promised hot tub was just a bathtub with whirlpool function. The view from the room was amazing! Nearby activities: The old town of Hachenburg, the landscape museum and the brewery are located directly on the corner. There is also a cinema that is not too far from the hotel. Otherwise, the Westerwald naturally always invites you to a hike in the beautiful nature. Drinks: The food was high quality and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was not very good, it was just too little on site, one of the two waiters had to make the drinks at the bar at the same time. Accordingly, the orders were partially incorrect, the drinks came very late and you could not really reorder things, so for example we did not give up the espresso.

We spent a short holiday here in August '22. The hotel is very nice on the edge of the old town. Everything is within walking distance. Free parking is available for the car. The wellness area couldn't convince me because it looks small. The pool makes a good impression. In summer there were always some waiting times for too little staff for breakfast and dinner. In the evening we just went because it took too long. Another important point: we were there on 2 August. This weekend the Hachenburger Kerb takes place right next to the hotel. We were not informed when booking. Sleeping before midnight was not to think about loud live music and many celebrations. That was a shame, but the hotel came with a discount. The Notch goes from Friday to Monday.

As far as everything is best, room, spa area,pool, dinner,service very good,breakfast I found the sausage selection a bit very easy. All in all, but worth the price. Come back.

I can only evaluate the restaurant. Were here for the second time. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance after the first visit, except the soup, which was good, all meat too dry, with too little sauce and too little seasoned. We wanted to try it again. Have a table reserved for evenings, unfortunately no hint that there is in the evening, at the moment, only a small card was not on the website. Only when we arrived in the evening and sat at the table were we made aware of it. Then went and were very disappointed. We should have been told by the phone. Then we would have either reserved or reserved elsewhere. Too bad, but there's no other chance. I am curious if the operator reacts to my review. The 2 stars are available for the beautiful ambience and for the very nice operation, which has apologized several times and which it was very embarrassing as it went.
