for me, the haggerston pub is a place of magic where musicians meet and play. the jazz started by beverly, the former owner continues every Sunday. some even call it church! a place to meet when they can be themselves. I don’t think I would go to this pub if it were not for the small but interesting art gallery in the basement. The music is not too loud and nice, the beer is reasonably priced and tasted good. However, the customer service is pretty poor, the people behind the bar were more interested in their phones than the customers.
