It's worth an hour. If you are in the area and you are looking for classic Brooklyn style Square cakes, check out this place. I ordered a half drunk grandma and Cacio e Pepe Brooklyn Square and a traditional round half Pepperoni. Customer service was at a different level. The entire crew was super friendly and committed. I told the woman behind the counter that it was my first time and I drove from PA and she gave me a crash of all her pizzas and offered me a slice of original Brooklyn Square on the house. Absolutely delicious, was my favorite disc from all. The crust is delicious and crispy, the flavors were amazing and fresh. I would definitely recommend everyone. Additional note, the whole place smells like fresh basil and fresh bread.
Always a treat! Had the chicken stable and spinach Focaccia today and it was superb! Pizza is always delicious. The Brooklyn and Drunk Grandma are my way!
I was looking for a new pizza place and saw all the good reviews and recommendations on this place and thought I would try. I am very picky with my pizza and food and that was definitely worth it! I drove 30 minutes to pick it up and it was worth the ride!! I have half a honeymoon and half a drunken grandma and I loved everything! The women who helped me with my order were very nice and helpful and I cannot wait to go back!
When I myself from Brooklyn I had to try it, I ordered the drunk grandma, the crust was thin, but perfect, the sauce needed more spice and more sauce on the cake, I got a free pane that was again the crust on point, again more sauce needed, sauce is thin) but the best in Jersey from what I tried. I ordered a rice ball they call something else, small but good, sauce that came with it is watery, I like a heavy sauce, to me I think I was sour, probably from using hot sauce in refrigerator. Overall, it is a decent pizzeria, next time I will ask for extra marinara sauce. I hope the owner is not mad at me because he said that they were very nice, but please thickene the sauce
The hype is real: Brooklyn Original is legit. If you’re a fan of well done pizzas with really flavorful, savory sauces, consider this a must have. The crust is really something special: no flop at all, thin and crispy, and maintains a fluffy, springy chew around the edge. Already planning what my next pie will be (it’s gonna be one of their squares).
