What Jordan Evans likes about Thai Express Spring Garden:
Ordered their vegan pad Thai off skip with two emperor rolls and a drink. Got lo mein noodles and vegetables with one roll, no drink, no sauce. The noodles had a package of peanuts, no lime. Tasted like food court ready hot food, not made to order. Pretty sure it wasn't. I won't eat here again I'm afraid. Edit: I commend the owner for reaching out and making things right, that goes a long way with me so I'm changing... View all feedback.

What mandar lad doesn't like about Thai Express Spring Garden:
I ordered vegan fried rice and got eggs in my vegan. Good job f$ @ing my order. I would never order from this branch. The Scotia square or HSC ones are 100 times better than you. Thank you for keeping me hungry when I am quarantining! View all feedback.

"Once again, Stories provided a wonderful fine dining evening. We have dined here several times, and it has always delivered an exceptional experience. We again had the great Faroe Island Salmon entree, and again it was spectacular. We are glad we had a chance to get back to Stories once more, before their announced closure later this summer. Perhaps it will return...if not, it will be well remembered by my wife and I as having been a top-tier restaurant in Halifax, delivering a quiet romantic dining experience, and consistently exceptional food and service."

"In these times of Covid, most people are doing take out or home delivery so restaurant reviews are based entirely on the food and not the ambience or the service, as is this one. My wife meets friends at Mappatura on occasion and has raved...about the food. We just ordered the Valentine's Day special which we picked up and ate at home. It was nothing short of sensational. The first course was snow crab and cauliflower ravioli which came with three raviolis and could almost be a main. Absolutely beautiful flavours in the sage and brown butter with mushrooms that covered them. The main was roasted halibut done to perfection. I was a bit concerned about whether this would travel well, but need not have been. The generous portion of fish was firm and perfectly done. This came with one heavenly seared scallop, a smoked ham and pea risotto that was as good as I've had in Halifax. The thyme crema was a perfect topping. The dessert was a chocolate and ricotta cannoli. Yum! At this is not inexpensive, but the ingredients are of the best quality and I would rate this as a very fair price for what you get. Can't wait to be able to eat here in person."
