"In these times of Covid, most people are doing take out or home delivery so restaurant reviews are based entirely on the food and not the ambience or the service, as is this one. My wife meets friends at Mappatura on occasion and has raved...about the food. We just ordered the Valentine's Day special which we picked up and ate at home. It was nothing short of sensational. The first course was snow crab and cauliflower ravioli which came with three raviolis and could almost be a main. Absolutely beautiful flavours in the sage and brown butter with mushrooms that covered them. The main was roasted halibut done to perfection. I was a bit concerned about whether this would travel well, but need not have been. The generous portion of fish was firm and perfectly done. This came with one heavenly seared scallop, a smoked ham and pea risotto that was as good as I've had in Halifax. The thyme crema was a perfect topping. The dessert was a chocolate and ricotta cannoli. Yum! At this is not inexpensive, but the ingredients are of the best quality and I would rate this as a very fair price for what you get. Can't wait to be able to eat here in person."

"Once again, Stories provided a wonderful fine dining evening. We have dined here several times, and it has always delivered an exceptional experience. We again had the great Faroe Island Salmon entree, and again it was spectacular. We are glad we had a chance to get back to Stories once more, before their announced closure later this summer. Perhaps it will return...if not, it will be well remembered by my wife and I as having been a top-tier restaurant in Halifax, delivering a quiet romantic dining experience, and consistently exceptional food and service."

"My niece and I had in usta this afternoon, a first time for both of us, and we were certainly not disappointed. I told our server that I had heard about her about mouthpropaganda, and I would spread the word among my friends. beth had a falafel package with lens soup, and I had the garlic hawn lunch combo, the suppe, rice, salat and baklava everything was delicious and I would recommend this "hidden gemstone" to all my friends."

"Waited 30min for a small vanilla latte that cost $6.00, and i’m pretty sure that they forgot to put vanilla in it because it just tasted like a regular latte. Not the workers fault though, they had way too little people working the bar for how busy it was. poor ladies couldn’t keep up with soo many orders just the two of them."

"My wife and I visited Pizza Co for a jumbo donair, which we shared while dining in. It was delicious! The pita was perfectly cooked, and the meat, along with the sauce, tomatoes, and onions, was flavorful. We highly recommend the donair at Pizza Co and will definitely be coming back."
