"This was one of those days when everything was taking longer thqan expected and my stylist FRED Conners suggested Kitsune. I'd never heard of the place but I followed his directions and found myself at a little hole in the wall, almost literally, with three otherpeople eating at the little counter while others lined up at the door to place their order. I had a deliciously crisp piece of tender chicken with rise and couldn't have been happier. The young woman who did the cooking was working so efficiently in a very small space that it was a joy to just watch her work. Her partner, the front man, was equally efficient. They made a great team, and even thought they were very busy they spoke to every person who came in and thanked them for coming. I will certainly come back to this little space again."

"I 'm from BC and was suggested this place by a coworker who said, It 's fat guy approved and I would say yes this place is definitely outstanding. I do wish there was somewhere inside to sit and eat but it 's good enough that I happily ate it while sitting on the curb like a hobo."

"We met friends here for dinner. They've been fans for a while and we are SO impressed with everything about this spot. A nice sized menu with great choices but not so big as to be overwhelming. The lamb moussaka was perfect. (A veggie version is available) A side salad was included crisp, fresh and delicious. Hubby had the special lamb shanks so tender. The server was pleasant, prompt and efficient. I love the accents in the room, and the tablecloths were really pretty, woven fabric in a variety of designs. Can't wait to go back."

"Just tried for the first time. I’m not a foodie but I found that the Orients food was very fresh and felt good on my belly. Hard to explain but compared to other Chinese food it just felt premium. The owner Ivan came by to check in on us, very nice guy.Highly recommend if you want to try more traditional Chinese food with what would seem like quality ingredients!"

"I reserve my excellent ratings for those restaurants that I feel truly are. This is one. It is busy, loud and clearly popular. The atmosphere is vibrant and successful. You can wear a jacket and tie or smart casual - it all fits in (I would NOT expect someone to wear shorts and sandals, however, at least at dinner). A little research determined that this is a highly-rated Halifax restaurant, but unlike some of the others La Frasca has more than simply outstanding wood-fired pizzas (although it may well be that they have them) but they have a lot of other dishes that can please all. We were, pleased that is. Very. There were just a whole lot of items on the menu we would like to try next time we're back to Halifax. I had a starter - Insalata di Finocchio - that was just fine. An excellent and affordable (my opinion) Primativo that one rarely sees on a wine list ($38 a bottle, other wines are more pricey). Main courses - Spaghettini with homemade veal & pork meatballs (I know, why would one order that at a fine Italian restaurant, but I like meatballs, and these were great!) and Halibut Salmoriglio with lemon risotto that was fabulous. And of course, Illy espresso and some sorbetti to round it off. A truly fine meal, well deserving an excellent rating. Cost? $155 for three people: one starter, three mains, one dessert, espressos a bottle of red wine and one separate glass of white. Book in advance if you can to avoid disappointment."
