"We were spontaneously in the Klosterschänke today. The man chose the restaurant and I must say it was a very good choice. There is a very nice beer garden and since the weather was still great today, we sat outside. It is also great that there is a small playground for the Kiddies. Our children weren't with us, but it's great anyway. We have always thought about coming to Sunday brunch. I'm going to dinner. The menu is small and fine and there are also seasonal dishes on an extra card. It is also very large that the allergens were shown at each court. So I was able to make my choice as a gluten allergy disease. I had the big salad with roasted salmon and feta, and the man had the carving with spices and fries. Everything was tasteful and delicious! Prices are moderate and very good. All in all a Kleinod in the middle of Dresden. We'll be back."

"We ordered what ended up sort of like a pizza, and a vegetarian dish with tomato sauce and stewed vegetables that came with rice. It was all delicious and was preceded by a giant puffed bread before the meal. The atmosphere was nice and the...staff was very helpful and spoke English. The credit card reader was broken so they offered us free Turkish tea as an apology since we had to pay cash."

"As the gastronomics explain to TAG24, the operators of the host house Lindenschänke have canceled 31 days ago. December. That they weren't happy about it should be clear. We were completely plated, explain Uwe Engert (60) and his wife Andrea (52), who took over the host house in 2010 by Starkoch Gerd Kastenmeier (53). We were 12 years on site, many regular guests. Now our phone is no longer silent because everyone wants to know how it goes on, according to the 60-year-old. You will actually get a place on some days only after reservation. The restaurant on Elberadweg has a long tradition and is well known beyond the boundaries of the district. Kastenmeier's father-in-law, who belonged to the building, wanted to sell it to the Engerts a few years ago, but at that time no bank financed the purchase of the restaurant. Dirk Strempel, who already owned some houses in Übigau, jumped in and bought the restaurant. However, he gave the Engerts only one annual contract which he then renewed in October. But not this year: now just the termination came, we can't believe it yet, Engert explains. I'll get the Engerts out by New Year's. Last time they opened on 30. November, then here is the evening we have to accept that now. Supposedly, the inn is to become a dwelling house, Strempel said to the gastronomics! In fact, an old acquaintance in the industry could have thrown an eye on the old venerable house with its 150 year old restaurant history. Will the Watzke Chef take up a new beer temple? Watzke Chef Mirko Unger (45), currently responsible for four restaurants in Dresden, has been interested in Lindenschänke for a long time – after all, he runs past every evening after the service is closed. So already a few days before Engerts had received the termination, Pieschener was involved in the topic that the Lindenschänken operators would get the termination, but only do not know yet. After all, Mirko Unger is supposed to want to rebuild the entire Lindenschänke into a stylish beer temple and to be heard according to at least ten varieties of the freshly brewed pin, it continues in the neighborhood. Homeowners Strempel and Watzke Profi Unger want to go with time. However, they did not want to comment on this on TAG24's request. Unger is currently on the Jacobsweg, which he wants to run within two months. At the end of the year, Watzke is stepping up and has time for a new project. It is only at this time that he wants to explain himself to the rumor. The fact that the hostage Lindenschänke is almost fully occupied every day and that the termination destroys the existence of the Engert family and its entire team seems to let the two go cold. As it goes on for us and the employees, we don't know yet. But we are good things to do elsewhere in the Dresdner Gastronomy, Engert concludes. By the end of November, the house is open daily from 4pm, on weekends from 12pm. found by: [here link]"
