Charlies Cafe Steakhouse - Halsnaes

We had burgers and fries for a snack-dinner. Overall a nice burger, very tasty. Excellent sweet potato fries.

Went there the other for a friday night meal and once again it was a very good experience. My friend had one of the bigger steaks and I had the seafood of the day. Excellent prepared and served. Service remains very good and attentive and they also keep their wide selection of beer.

This town seems to have many places to each. We went for the Charlies cafe and was not disappointed. A waitress welcomed us and quickly gave us the menu card, which had a good selection of food for lunch. I had a smoked salmon sandwich, which tasted excellent, however the bread was a bit too crusty. With the food I had a regular coke, and after the meal we had coffee. The waitress was kind and helpful. Would consider coming back.

We were a family of 2 adults, two small children and my parents who asked a local clothing store for advice of where to have a good meal. We were recommended to this place, and it proved to be very worthy of the recommendation. Attentive staff, great food and desert, free wifi. It does look like a bar/pub from the outside not considering the chairs and tables, but lives very much up to the standards of a great place to eat.

In any other location you might rate this place a 3 but given that we found NOTHING in this downtown area worth visiting, this place is outstanding by comparison....the food is ok and our dinner server was delightful and tried hard!
