Excellent meal. Have never had a disappointing meal at this venue. Vegetarian meal I had was beetroot bourguignon. Never seen that before on a menu and it was delicious. The desserts in particular are definitely a cut above the average. View all feedback.
What Jacqui H doesn't like about Village Inn:
I was really disappointed with my first time going here for food especially when I'd heard so many good things. We waited well over an hour for our Sunday lunch for it to be slightly warm the beef was so fatty I had to leave most of mine. I had literally one carrot and one parsnip on my plate : View all feedback.

Gréât place for relaxed dining experience with super menu. The 5 of us had a spacious table and friendly service. Great tasty food and well priced. There are all the classic choices with some unexpected modern dishes too . Really great evening in a lovely old Inn . Really recommend this as an all round choice for everyone .

Spend Easter Weekend in this part of the country. We have a nice evening and night here. 1. Good size Room for 2 adults and 10-year-old child. Pleasant to have the heating on! 2. Food at the restaurant is good and the portions are huge! Be careful we ended up asking for a doggy bag :
This was my first time visiting this restaurant for Sunday lunch, and it was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower and cheese soup served with a hot mini loaf was a mouthwatering experience. I tried to ask for the recipe, but it seems to be a village secret! My husband ordered the potato skins topped with pulled pork, which was a definite hit. We both chose the beef, which consisted of three generous slices served with a trio of potatoes and Savoy cabbage. The dish was topped with carrot, parsnip, and broccoli, accompanied by a massive Yorkshire pudding and a generous serving of tasty gravy - it was absolutely divine. I was too full to enjoy dessert, but someone at our table managed to try the strawberry cheesecake and said it was fantastic. The service was impressive and the staff were incredibly friendly.
