To avoid the queue at the ticket counter of Hamburg's stunning new concert hall Elbphilharmonie I booked a lunch table at the Restaurant Störtebeker on the Plaza level of the building. This turned out to be the right thing to do. I got a table with a view to the sea, the service was impeccable and the food as well. We were a little bit schocked, that this is "the restaurant" of the Elbphilharmonie. To wait for a simple cheese plate more than 40 minutes, it is a bad joke. To sit on the high seats is very uncomfortable. This is a beer house. ANd if you want to use the toilet, you should go 2 floors up. Never ever again! View all feedback.
