"On damp Thursday night and after a long day in the field it was pleasure to walk through the doors of Izzys Tavern. Warmly welcomed by who we think may be Izzy, but was actually Sam, we were quickly seated and looked after. We had the nachos, calamari and falafel. The food portions were generous and delicious. Will be stopping here again on our next work trip."

"Best cheese and tomato toastie I have ever had! Quality sourdough, oven-roasted tomatoes filled with flavour, a light cheese. On the side, a rocket salad with a beautiful homemade dressing. This was simple elegance on a plate … can’t wait to get another one. Well done!"

"Earlier this year, my mother and I, along with some friends from South Australia attended one of Catalpas blooming high teas. The atmosphere was charming, the food delicious, and far more than we could possibly eat, the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful, and lastly, the tea itself, which was served in a clear glass pot, contained a delightful bundle which slowly opened to reveal a flower. Throughout all of my dealings with the business, the staff have been a pleasure to meet with and interact with, not to mention always willing to help no matter the issue. The food is always affordable and delicious, and I would definitely recommend anyone within the region to have a meal, dessert or drink at Catalpa, so that they too can appreciate the atmosphere and attitude of the staff."
