My absolute favorite indian spot in Hampton Roads. The garlic naan is delicious! I love their lamb biryani. It's so tender and delicious. I usually get takeout, but I went and sat in for lunch one time. Our server was nice, and everything came out fresh and hot. Relaxed dress code, nice atmosphere, well decorated, and clean. What Caitlyn Johnson doesn't like about Monsoon Eclectic Modern Indian:
Very unpleasant experience. Came for my birthday party of 9. Server was rude. Forgot drinks, had to clear off plates ourselves to make room for our entrees. Please work on better customer service. WILL NOT DINE THERE AGAIN. View all feedback.
This is very nice Indian restaurant with a great staff, varied menu and delicious food in a fun contemporary environment. Very reliable and recommended for couples, families, and can accommodate large parties. I particularly enjoyed the dal black lentils. Their flavors are rich and spicy in the best of ways.
Delicious food and friendly staff. They are great. Repeat customer.

Currently sitting at a table and have been waiting for over an hour because they forgot to put our order ticket in. When my husband asked about our appitizer the server was very nonchalant about their mistake. Even was offended when we asked to have the appitizer comp'ed because we had been waiting for over 45min. Very disappointed as I see all the other tables receive their food after only about 10 minutes. I may never come back to thus establishment very poor experience.
This was my first time trying Indian food, and it exceeded my expectations! I had the butter chicken (got spice level 1, could have gone up a level though). The spouse got the tandoori chicken, which was also delicious. We split a bread basket, which included 3 flavors of naan. Our entrees came with a large bowl of rice that they refilled for us once. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were great. We had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday night. Our table was ready for us on time, but service was a little slow (our server did warn us in advance when we ordered our appetizers). It took an hour and a half to get our entrees, but everything was so fresh that we quickly forgot about the wait time. We'll definitely be back, but probably not at the busiest dinner hour on the weekend.
