"Loved this island BBQ joint. Great no frills BBQ. Delicious flavor on all the items that we had. The chicken and ribs were tender and tasty. The definite star of the meal was the loaded fries! So awesome! Loaded with cheese, cilantro sauce, pico de gallo, and chicken (you choose the meat). I?d go back just for those! The employees were great too. Explained the menu and choices, and made suggestions."

"Service was great. We could get a table on the veranda with a fantastic view of the mountains. The food was average. The fish and chips and Fish/Shrimp Tacos were decent, nothing special. "If you don 't get the brussels sprouts, you 're a fool. I 'm not kidding. Get them. Also, get a reservation as soon as you can. It fills up super quick now. Came here several years ago, and was adamant to come back. It did not disappoint, although it is MUCH more popular than before. We weren 't able to get a reservation, and the advice we got was: come back around 8:15 when it dies down, or get in line at 4:15 4:30 the next day . Luckily I was stubborn and wasn 't a quitter and we got seated after about 30 minutes basically b/c someone was late for their reservation. The atmosphere is probably the most idyllic I 've ever seen, it 's not too crowded (hence the wait w/out a reservation), and the drinks and food are always outstanding. The menu isn 't super deep, but they do everything well. If I had to pick items now: bao buns, brussels sprouts (probably 2x), chasu or ono ramen depending on mood, and the donuts for dessert, although the coconut chocolate pot de creme was also really damn good."

"This was my one of favorite food experiences on Kauai! The salad was very fresh and yummy and the burger with avocado and fries was absolutely scrumptious. And you can't go wrong with a passion fruit soda."
