"Good and service was excellent. Super friendly staff. Felt like being welcomed into a relatives home for dinner. "Usually the food is on point. But the ribs were disappointing this visit. They were rather dry and tough with very little flavor. BUT, the cornbread was delicious as always. Staff is always friendly and helpful. "Many vegan options for breakfast: bagels with vegan cream cheese, veggiewurst, hash brown, yogurt with fresh fruit and the delicate cinnamon oatmeal with berries and almonds. Kombucha and three nondairy milk options for coffee. They typically also have at least one vegan dessert. The gf Espresso Brownies are ineffective! "First visit to Jimmy Joy's. We happened upon it on our way to Rocky Gap when several other of our usual places to stop for lunch were closed. We got a kick out of the name, checked the menu online and decided to give it a try. All 4 of us liked it enough to stop again on our return trip 4 days later. The biggest (pleasant) surprise was the crabcake. My friend is SUPER picky about her crabcakes but decided to give it a try. Who could imagine authentic Maryland style lump crabcakes in a tiny western Maryland town? But it was excellent. I went for the hot roast beef with real mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The vegetables were great, the meat was very disappointing with lots of gristle. On the return trip I opted for the prime rib sandwich which was very lean, tender and delicious. One of our men got the burger which was great, the other got steamed shrimp which was also good. We split a huge piece of coconut cake which was also good. They also do steamed crabs which looked good and made the place smell like Summer at the beach when they were steaming. Definitely recommend and will stop there again next trip."
