our chef was Fernando P Arellano and he prepared a phantastic menu for us. Food presentation excellent, taste outstanding, service very good and attentive despite us being a large group of 16 people. the various wines selected German Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spaetlese, South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon from Solomon Estate as well as the Champagne de Sousa Grand Cru Reserve all matched well with the menu. What Franz K doesn't like about Ikarus:
It is not the coziest place to have dinner in a aircraft hangar. But we new before and been fine with this. If you wanna be a high end restaurant you should not give the service into the hands of trainees. But it seemed they did. The service was very average.
