Back Factory is one of those chain bakeries popular in this part of Germany. Not quite the bottom of the market, nor the upper end, but definitely somewhere in between. There's an excellent range of baked goods for both vegetarians, meat eaters and the non...too fussy. I got a Rhine-Westphalia version of a egg mayonnaise sandwich and some kind of cheese roll sandwich. Both were above average. This branch of Back Factory is located inside Hanover Train Station, so expect the prices to be above average for this chain.
Had breakfast here grabbed some amazing things, little idea what they were but for the of us it came to less than Euro and we are greedy sods. This also included bottles of juice and coffee. Will go back when next in Hannover....It’s super busy and the Germans like to push in so my suggestion is look grab and pay.
I popped into Back Factory for some lunch prior to heading off to Hanover airport for a flight back to the UK and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a vegetarian so often struggle to find savory options in bakeries in the UK but Back Factory had...a huge range of both sweet and savory items. I opted for a mini pizza, a couple of sweet pastries and a hot chocolate which all came in at under Euros. The quality isn't anything particularly special but what do you expect for less than Euro per pastry? It was filling and the seating allows for some great people watching in the train station. I wish we had these in England!
Love Back Factory! Fresh and tasty baked goods made in volume and inexpensive. I would say I wish we had it in the US, but we'd ruin it. Ate there nearly every morning for breakfast as did a large volume of local commuters.
