"Simple and incomprehensible restaurant in the old quarter with very good service and good food. I was served by Kitty and she was very nice and friendly. She explained the food well, taught me how to wrap and prepare the food. She even gave me tips about the places I could check."

"Went here after being glutened constantly throughout Vietnam from cross contamination. Staff had great English, were super knowledge about gluten and the ingredients used. I didn’t even have to show my translation cards. Such a relief and the food was yummy too. Whole menu is gluten free. No wheat no soy. Only fish sauce made straight from the fish with salt"

"When I arrived in Hanoi in 2015, it was good to eat. I'm not going back anymore than eating was very moderate. the last time I took a veggieburger. there was absolutely no taste of it. also the Polntaries were very tasteless. I didn't finish my meal, it was super disappointing. also they have never updated the menu as I first came there. it seems they don't want to improve."

"Very good Bun Cha, didn't get sick at all. This is the restaurant where President Obama and Anthony Bourdain ate, so it gets a huge amount of tourists. While the food was good, I wouldn't go back because it was just so full of tourists. We ate on the third floor because the floors 1 and 2 were packed, and I'm not sure how many floors there are."

"Excellent vegetarian and vegan food. Good to know they do not serve alcohol but do serve vegan, no alcohol beer. They charge a flat price of 228,000 VND per person, you then order whatever you like from the extensive menu. They also do excellent juices. Six of us thoroughly enjoyed everything on the menu. Looking forward to a return visit."

"The Republic has been improving at a quick pace over the last few months. Food has been getting better, and nightly promos (like Taco Tuesday) have been an awesome addition. Good place to watch sports, and you can often find a crowd enjoying themselves. Randomly added a piano."
