Fred's Pancake House - HANWELL

Lots to read and see on the walls! Poached eggs cooked to perfection and loved the homemade whole wheat toast! My husband's veggie omelet was loaded with veggies! Waitress was friendly and efficient. Although the diner was very busy, breakfast was served quickly. Teapots are large and don't drip, a plus. One one wall, there are some great photos of the World Pond Hockey event in Plaster Rock.

Great home cooked meals!! This place is always busy but is run very efficient. Good value for your money.

Food wasn't the greatest. Atmosphere was very nice. Cute diner and affordable,however I wish the food was a bit better.

We've been there twice now and found the service to be very slow. Only 6 people there when we arrived & placed our order then more people came while we waited 1/2 hr for our breakfast of bacon, eggs, & toast. There were only 2 of us. Our coffee & tea got cold and the eggs & toast as well. The waitress was very nice and the homemade coconut cream pie was excellent and highly recommended. When it's busy maybe 2 cooks in the kitchen would be a help.

A great place to eat in this car themed restaurant just off the TCH in Hanwell NB. Prices are great, the waitresses are good and with a good proportion of food. The only negative which is beyond their control is the loudness of some of the other patrons when its busy in there, you almost have to shout to hear anyone your with.
