Good food, excellent ingredients. Impressive drink menu—I loved my Michigroni! The bowls are more like salads than your typical rice bowl. The bowl we ordered had a mostly spinach and quinoa base, no rice, still excellent. View all feedback.
What Tom Kirby doesn't like about The Paper Station Bistro:
Food was fine, service was not. Our server, Jameson, was terrific but definitely overworked. It seemed she was doing the work of three people. One entree was not cooked properly and we had to wait about 15 minutes for her to come to the table because she was busy behind the bar. Extremely noisy in a small space. View all feedback.

The restaurant was busy, and too rainy to sit outside so we appreciated our bar seats. However it took close to 15 min to be greeted by our server (greeted, not asked for drink order). Prices are on par with this area of northern Michigan, and a little less even than some restaurants on the block. Burgers are fine, beet salad at $21, was overpriced for size, and quality/freshness of ingredients. Not all vegetarian options are available at dinner, better for lunch.
You can’t go wrong at Paper Station! Everything is outstanding! Been eating here since it opened and it keeps getting better and better!
Menu options make it special. Staff worked together and supported each other. ABC Chicken was cooked just right, and veggies and rice were fresh.
Had a bloody mary. It was good, not $15.50 worth, but good anyway. Very stuffy atmosphere.
