"I sincerely feel bad about writing this review because this restaurant used to be our favorite place in Gloucester but it’s been severely neglected. After being self seated, it took roughly 20 minutes to be acknowledge and another 20 minutes for our drinks. After a little over an hour, our food arrived and looked edible at best. I ordered biscuits and gravy and two bites in, I looked back down at my plate and saw a full sized dead SPIDER buried under my gravy. I couldn’t eat anything else, returned my food, and still had to pay for our meal. I’ll never be returning to this restaurant again. I also want to add that the couple who were sat next to us were place in a dirty booth per the waitresses comments. The woman ordered an orange juice and received an improperly cleaned cup that had residue on it from the previous drink. I wish this establishment the best of luck. I think training on sanitation and customer service would help improve others experiences."

"The had not received their fish order so they were out of fish other than the mahi for tacos. Were out of both Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The could be due to the having eaten there New Years day. It appears they are know for their oysters so those who like those, probably would be very pleased."

"The food was very good, the server friendly and helpful and the restaurant was as clean as any I've seen. We were also very pleased with the prices. Not inexpensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. The Chesapeake Burger was very good and very large and my wife's Grilled Chicken Melt was cooked just well and very good. Beware! We ordered the Cheese Fries as an appetizer and the serving was so large it could have been our dinner! They were so good we brought most of them home for our son. There is no excuse to leave this restaurant hungry, so enjoy!"

"We had just eaten something else. the service was okay, the food fair, the atmosphere was terrible. when our food was served, the hostess began to vacuum. she literally pushed the vacuum cleaner under my chair. I asked if I should lift my feet to which she replied, no, I have it, I have to get out of here to three I don't know about her, but try to eat over the aerosized dirt from the teppich is not something I cheat! also the $4 side of the cold fön fries where fön fritted bits we had to eat with a fork. I'm sorry it was a failure!"
