"What a fun little restaurant. Food was good, delicious actually. The brisket on the loaded onion rings had everyone sorry they didn't order brisket. The crab cake was very good, the ham, brisket and (something else) sandwich was also very good. My husband wants to go back for the brisket. We had been into the store on a hot summer day and everyone enjoyed their ice cream, which is how we learned about the restaurant. If I remember correctly, they also offer quite a variety of beers."

"Shared the experience with good friends. Every detail was completed in the best way, from making reservations with Amanda, to the professional, Lisa, who served each course. The food was superb the presentation was outstanding. This restaurant offers fine dining in a comfortable, yet casual manner. Mathews County is lucky to have The White Dog Bistro in it's community. "This was a nice cafe, food was good and reasonably priced. We will be going back with our kids soon to at least try out the peanut butter pie! After our lunch we had the Pecan pie cobbler and it was yummy!"
