We asked if we could have a drink on the lovely sunny terrace but were told no, we’d have to sit on a table by the road in the shade. That would have been fine if they were busy serving meals but it was 5pm and not busy at all. I asked to have a gin. The disinterested waiter told me no, no gin. So we ordered coffee.
