We have been going to the Butcher Barkeep for several years and never had a bad experience except this night. It wasn't busy around 4 pm on Thursday. Only people at the bar and 1 table of 2 people. We had to wait almost 10 minutes to get someone to seat us, then was taken to the one dirty table with no setup. I asked to be seated somewhere else. "Very good Vietnames and Thai combo restaurant. Both the spring roll and fried rolls as appetizers were tasty. Pho (special pho) had clean but rich flavored taste. Pad Thai had a bit stronger (saltiness) taste than usual at other restaurants but in a better way. The negative was on the sautéed eggplant with chicken which was quite watery, losing the thicke, flamed sauce that cling to the chunks for better integration of flavors. The other negative is the amount of protein in the pho not enough for the price, IMO. Anyway, good service and (mostly) good food makes the restaurant not quite 5 but a 4.5 star place."
